The History of the United States I: Early Colonization-1877 CLEP exam covers from early European colonization to the end of Reconstruction. Approximately 65% of the exam is based on the 1790-1877 time-period. The remaining 35% of the exam focuses on the period from 1500-1789.
Knowledge and Skills: The student is required to identify, describe, analyze, interpret, and compare and contrast historical events and circumstances. The exam consists of 120 questions to be answered within 90 minutes.
